It was always likely that Rolls Royce would take their ‘affordable’ model – the RR Ghost – and make a coupe version. What wasn’t really on the cards is that they would give it a more dramatic style – and a more driver-focused experience – and tag a name from the past on it to create a new Rolls Royce Wraith for the 21st century. But that’s exactly what they’ve done, and the Wraith does seem to be an effective tool for Rolls Royce to extend the appeal of their cars to a new, perhaps younger, demographic.
PETROL PRICE pressure on the purse strings of drivers has eased, according to figures from the AA. They showed that average petrol pump prices in the UK have fallen back to 130.0p a litre having risen to 131.7p a litre at the beginning of July. Motorists are now doing far better than they were a year ago when petrol averaged 137.5p a litre, rising to 138.38p a litre in mid-October 2013.
ILLEGAL turns or misuse of yellow-box junctions are liable to be caught out by remote cameras in a pioneering initiative by a borough council. The first unattended CCTV enforcement system for moving traffic offences has been introduced by Redbridge council in east London. The council said the scheme was working well, with "serious traffic contraventions" captured.
